Digital Marketing Copywriter
Job Description
As a leader in digital marketing, Cosmitto partners with businesses to strategize and execute on their digital marketing initiatives. From high-level strategy and planning to daily execution, Cosmitto works to grow a business’s brand awareness, identify and reach their target audience, and motivate consumers to take measurable actions.
The Digital Marketing Copywriter must have strong creative and professional writing skills and will work with account managers to brainstorm and execute marketing strategies to ensure success for Cosmitto’s clients. The Digital Marketing Copywriter will work with other content specialists, account managers, digital strategists, and other specialists to develop purposeful content for Cosmitto’s clients. This role requires the ability to execute multiple, concurrent projects while maintaining a positive attitude and attention to detail. The Digital Marketing Copywriter will strategize, write, and edit various content pieces for numerous accounts. This includes reviewing and preparing content and adhering to production deadlines.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and publish original content pieces on behalf of clients, such as web page copywriting, landing page copy, email copy, blog articles, gated resources (white papers, ebooks, guides), etc.
- Work with each client’s account manager to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Collaborate with the senior content strategist to ensure original content is on brand and adheres to account goals.
- Work with the account team to stay up-to-date with account changes and goals.
- Measure and optimize content based on analytics.
- Post to a client’s social media accounts on their behalf.
- Implement new marketing strategies, tools, and tactics relevant to the brand.
- Become fully immersed in the client’s brand and culture.
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree/pursuing a BA (professional writing, journalism, communications, marketing preferred).
- Prior experience in a marketing or marketing communications role preferred.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient writer of web copywriting, landing page copy, email marketing, blog writing, gated resources (white papers, ebooks, guides).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Must be familiar with the business applications of social media platforms, including; Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+, Instagram, and more.
- Self-starter. Must ask questions and learn new skills quickly on the job.
- Driven, team player motivated to take responsibility and ensure successful outcomes across activities.
- Familiarity with Hubspot, MailChimp, or other publishing platforms.
- Must be competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel) and Google Drive.
- Familiarity with design programs and HTML a plus.
